We are a husband and wife team who, having both worked in the public sector, decided to make a lifestyle change. It was our dream to own a bed and breakfast in an vibrant and independent town with a strong sense of community and this lead us to No.79 Ashburton Court!

Reservation Request

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED Note: We strongly recommend travel insurance for all guests that will cover your costs in the event of you being unable to attend your course or accommodation. Travel insurance will cover you for many issues that may prevent you from attending your course such as illness, sickness of an immediate relative, travel disruption etc.

In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by Ashburton Cookery School for reasons not defined below in Force Majeure, we undertake to offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date or a full refund (within 7 days) of any accommodation fees. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation with hotels other than our own.

Force Majeure

If Ashburton Court is forced to close due to circumstances outside our control (including: an act of God, fire, flood, drought, earthquake, windstorm, explosion or other natural disaster; pandemic or epidemic; war; acts of terrorism; civil emergency (whether an emergency be declared or not); adverse weather conditions; under the order of any government or public or local authority; labour dispute including, but not limited to, strikes, industrial action, lockouts or boycott) guests will be offered a room credit to the value of the accomodation that has to be cancelled, such credit will be valid for 12 months from the date the accomodation was due to take place.

Please note that Accommodation is only booked once you have received written confirmation from the cookery school and payment has been received.

Due to the demand for our accommodation, if we are unable to contact you within 72 hours of your reservation request, our system will automatically cancel the booking request and you will need to contact to discuss your needs on:

Cancellation Policy

Prior to 21 days of your arrival, if you wish to cancel your accomodation booking there is a £35 adminstration fee, alternatively you may request to rebook your accomodation without charge.

A request to change your accomodation dates within 21 days of your arrival date is only possible if we are able to resell your booked accomodation or at the discretion of the management

No refunds will be made for cancellations within 21 days of your arrivale date.
